It's almost a shame that Dave Eggers has already taken the phrase A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius because that is exactly how I would describe Wally Lamb's latest epic novel, The Hour I First Believed. I feel like I've just awakened from a wild and twisty journey which has left me speechless.
