Three books

I read three books this weekend:

Wise, William, and Benson, Patrick. Christopher Mouse The Tale of a Small Traveler. Paw Prints, 2008.

Christopher Mouse: The Tale of a Small Traveler is destined to become a children's classic. If you like Stuart Little, The Borrowers, and Abel's Island, you will love this adventure story by William Wise. I give it a whopping 5 out of 5 stars, and I may even read it twice!

Hensley, William L. Iġġiaġruk. Fifty Miles from Tomorrow: A Memoir of Alaska and the Real People. New York: Sarah Crichton Books, 2009.

If you like Jack London, Deadliest Catch, and Into the Wild, you will definitely like this memoir of growing up in Alaska in the 1940's. I give it 3 out of 5 stars because the second half of the book drags a bit when the author goes into detail about his political career.

Whybrow, Ian. The Unvisibles. New York: Holiday House, 2006.

If you like Matilda, you may like The Unvisibles. Good British humor and funny line drawings. I give it a 3.5 stars.
