This week's storytime theme was S is for Saxophone. Fellow librarian, Greg Sidberry, performed Night in Tunisia on the saxophone while I read aloud from Chris Raschka's award-winning book, Charlie Parker Played Bebop. Everyone seemed to have a great time in spite of my horrible attempt to scat.After the performance, I showed the children pictures from Matisse's collage series, Jazz, and then they made their own paper cut collages.
